VIP passes to see the races this year sure helped get close to some action. Taking pictures of these boats would be more enjoyable if it weren't for the blazing back lighting from the early sun. It made looking into the viewfinder painful and the lighting on the wrong side of the boats, of course. Worked on some motion blur with some limited success. Such as the first photo taken with the Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 set at 70mm f/9.0 @ 1/45th ISO 100. The 70-200mm ruled the day with the last photo taken from the 17-55mm f/2.8. Enjoy, JP.
