Now that I have a capable tool for capturing difficult photos I started immediately with the stars. This has been a challenging photo to get in focus, while trying to get enough light to expose the stars but still with shutter speeds so they don't become trails, and finding a suitable foreground. Nikon D200 18-200mm VR (18mm) 12.6 Seconds f/4.5 @ ISO 1600.

Go Deep...
This is my first color post with the new Nikon D200. 18-200mm VR 1/3200 sec f/5.6 @ ISO 800. This was taken as I was snapping shots of Rocco to be sent in to Regis and Kelly live to win the cutest kid award. This isn't the photo that was sent in but taken at the same time. The color rendition and saturation are rich and amazing. Hopefully he'll throw some TD's in his day. Enjoy, JP

Antique Eyes.
Antique grayscale in Adobe Lightroom Beta 1 with my new Nkon D200 18-200mm VR at 1/30, ISO 1000 @ 200mm. Don't be surprised if more pictures get published using this technique. As soon as Adobe gets this thing going with layers, i'll have an antique with green eyes. Till then, Enjoy. JP
